I am a writer and researcher working to bridge the gap between environmental health science and policy through communications. My writing has been published in the New York Times, Los Angeles Times, San Francisco Chronicle, The Hill, and more.
I received my Bachelor of Science in environmental and biological sciences from Cornell University, graduating Magna Cum Laude and with Distinction in Research. I then obtained a Master of Public Health degree from UC Berkeley as an Arthur Ferreira Pinto Foundation Fellow and Center for Health Leadership Fellow. I am now working toward a Doctor of Public Health degree at Johns Hopkins University.
For over a decade, I’ve helped scientists and advocates get their work covered by the media to effect positive change. I have particular expertise in framing and message development, media pitching, press releases, interview training, and op-eds. I also research the impacts of mass media on the regulation and management of harmful chemicals.
I am currently the Director of Science Communications at the Green Science Policy Institute, where we conduct and communicate peer-reviewed research about chemicals of concern.
